​​​The Office of Children's Mental Health annually hosts a convening of high school with student-led wellness programs. The 2026 event welcomed​ 57 schools from across WI, with over 100 adult advisors and 350 young people attending!

During each Mental Wellness Student Leadership Summit, OCMH collects student insights on various topics.

To date, nearly 20 ​publications have been created to amplify the written submissions received by teens at the event.

Partnering With Youth

In order to meaningfully engage and empower youth leaders, there must be gen​uine partnerships between young people and supportive adults in a safe and respectful environment. Ample opportunities to plan and make decisions, as well as shape policy and practice, are also key components to youth leadership.
